Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson tried to play on slot machines at a motorway services in the UK — and were barred for not having over-18s ID. Lucky the lads were not out on a night out otherwise it could’ve been a bit more embarrassing!
A woman working as a security guard at WH Smith ousted them from the Welcome Break’s “games zone”, as a minder pleaded: “Don’t you
know who they are?”
Embarrassed Ann Fuller, 29, confessed yesterday that she didn’t — insisting: “I was just doing my job.”
Ann was on duty at Abington services on the M74 in Lanarkshire as the boyband headed to perform in Glasgow.
Liam, 19, and Louis, 21, headed straight for the slots as fellow heart-throbs Harry Styles, 19, Niall Horan, 19, and Zayn Malik, 20, went to buys snacks at 2am. Liam had already stuffed money in one of the machines when Ann marched up.
She said: “I’d heard of One Direction but only found out it was them when a colleague later said, ‘Somebody’s thrown out the most popular boyband in the world’.”
Unable to prove their ages, the two millionaires went to browse the pick ’n mix section before clambering back on their bus.
